Luxury Custom Clothing, Rooted in Raleigh
Where comfort meets confidence.
My name is Rohit Bulchandani and I am the Co-Owner of Bunbury Custom Clothiers. Born and raised here in Raleigh, NC, I am on a mission to carry forward the storied tradition of sartorial craft in the Triangle area. I learned everything about custom tailoring from my father and business partner, Rajesh Bulchandani, who has over 50 years of experience in the field. Partnering with both local and international businesses, we aim to keep the art of bespoke tailoring alive in a increasing Retail and Made-To-Measure world.
Unlike other tailoring methods, Bespoke-tailored clothes are custom measured, hand-made from the finest materials and fit to perfection. Each garment is an original. Our customers have learned that craftsmanship, classic clothing and true quality are timeless.
Our primary goal is to enhance your image and provide optimum comfort in a suit made just for you. We create one-of-a-kind garments that reflect your sense of style and personality. Whether it is for professional use or society wear, your hand-crafted wardrobe is in good hands. Call now and allow us to welcome you into the world of sartorial fashion.

Your style and the impression you make is all about confidence. Trust us, you will feel it.
First, it is important to understand the basic difference between a off-the-rack and a custom suit:
A ready-made suit is cut on a general pattern and is not specific to your body type, thereby incurring additional costs, time and effort for alterations. Your choice of fabrics and styling options are restricted, and lower quality construction decrease the life of the suit over time.
On the other hand, a custom bespoke suit is made from scratch to conform to the wearer’s body. We start with Perkins posture tools, take your measurements by hand, and a master tailor crafts a unique pattern for your garments. You are allowed your choice of fabric, colors, and construction details to fully reflect your personal style.
Secondly, it is important to recognize the canvasing of the suit, which provides the structure and drape of a suit jacket:
A ready-made suit fuses/glues an interlining to the suit fabric. Over time (and after a few dry cleanings), the glue will cause ripples and bubbles in the fabric of the jacket.
On a custom suit a canvas is hand sewn into the jacket. This allows it to drape handsomely and not cause any rippling, despite regular cleanings.
Finally, consider what it means to truly have a garment made by hand for you:
The customization possibilities are endless in your bespoke suit – we are here to guide you through the details and bring your vision to life.
Additionally, the majority of our curated fabric selection are exclusive lines from our partner mills. They create enough yardage for maybe 75 suits to be made, worldwide.
With an off the rack suit, what you see is what you get, and with the exception of minor alterations, you have to live with what is available.
